Scandic Kuopio

We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful surroundings. We took our bikes and rode along the scenic trails of Katiskaniemi Nature Reserve and Saaristokatu. The whole family enjoyed the outdoor activities and the breathtaking views of the lake. It was a fantastic experience that we will always remember.

For dads, it would be great if there were more children's activities available.

Convenience, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant for dinner was very good, but the breakfast was only a 2 out of 10.

Convenient location near Lake Kallavesi 🌊. the rooms were clean and well-kept. Would definitely suggest staying here to anyone. Also, it's close to the vb photographic centre and other nice places to check out around here.

Room was dated, and too hot. No air conditioning in the room. Internet connection was very slow.

I recently stayed at Scandic in Kuopio for a week during the hottest summer week, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The air conditioning in the room was efficient and not noisy at all, providing a cool haven from the heat. Despite a rock festival nearby, there was hardly any noise disturbance, even with the hotel being fully booked. The beds were incredibly comfy and the shower had powerful water pressure with plenty of hot water. The breakfast selection was superb, with no running out of items or long queues. The gym was well-equipped and the sauna was fantastic. Additionally, the hotel's location opposite the fabulous restaurant Musta Lammas was a definite highlight.

There was no air conditioning. Not good when outside temperature was 30° during the day.

I always choose this hotel. The staff helped me with some issues when I first came here. It suits me perfectly and has everything I need: Wi-Fi, free parking, 24-hour reception, bar/restaurant, fitness center. I'm coming back for Christmas.

Very nice and quiet place on the lake side, not so far to the city centre. The breakfast is great and tasty.

Good overall hotel. Staff were courteous, rooms were clean and up-to-date, location and parking were good. I would stay here again.

Strange that the pool and sauna were only open from 18:00-21:00. 2 meters of steps up from the parking lot to lobby are a pain with luggage. Breakfast was decent, but not overly special.

The rooms at Scandic Kuopio are so cozy and welcoming, it instantly feels like home. The bright decor and comfy beds make you want to stay in all day and watch TV. Plus, having a minibar in the room is such a convenient touch. As a young traveler, I absolutely loved the modern vibe of the LED television. It made my stay even more enjoyable.

Personally, I didn't really care for the air conditioning in some rooms. But hey, that's just my preference.

The room was not clean, in particular the toilet and towels. We changed the room for that reason but also the second room was not very good.
